A story about a son giving back some small non measurable amount of gratitude to a wonderful father..
There was a young man that enjoyed watching Formula 1 Auto Racing from across the globe with his Father for as lengthy as he can remember. He often said that one day he would take his fathers to watch dad’s favorite team, Ferrari and Michael Schumacher in Montreal. As the years passed the son got married, had kids and the chance got further and further way. Then as the son turned 40 he had a fantastic opportunity to move to BC with his wife and kids. The son and father still enjoyed the races, talking regularly by way of the season of who’s on top, which driver moved where and how the Ferrari team was doing. While in Vancouver the son continually said one day I’ll gat dad to see Ferrari in Montreal. Then came the bad news… Formula 1 was no longer in North America. The dream was all but extinguished. Life went on, when the young family in Vancouver got the chance to reunite with the rest of their extended family and move back in Ontario. That exact same year even more great news greeted the son…Formula 1 was returning to Montreal….could it happen… could he get his elderly, nearly now 80 year old father to Montreal to see his beloved Ferrari Team?
The son ready a surprise for Father and now with a 16 year old son of his own, named partially after his Father, he order three Race tickets, hotel and rail tickets for this fantastic once in a lifetime chance, for the three generations of race fans to attend and feel the excitement of the Formula 1 race on Canadian soil.
Signed Beloved Son and Race Fan.
